Nonexistent Connection

Spread Design

Designing a quarterly magazine was my responsibility at the time when I worked at the marketing department of UVU. I worked with several designers and professional photographers, and each specialist had his own task.

My task in this project was to create a single style between two characters, not connected to each other, and a general style magazine. What can be in common between local choir teacher, digital analyst, and UVU magazine?

Of the many possible solutions, I chose the option with black and white photographs and abstract geometric shapes. This design solution eliminated the problem with a non-existent connection and became an ideal representation of such words as: communication, digital technology, and music.

Thanks to this project, a strong connection has been established between strangers, unrelated pages and completely abstract geometric forms.
